The Sunflower is the Ukrainian national flower, a symbol of resilience. Legend has it that when soldiers would go off to battle their loved ones would hand them sunflower seeds for them to keep in their pockets, to guide them, and to keep them safe. If they were to fall in combat their legacy would be lived on through the growth of the sunflower seeds on the battlefield. 🌻
